Making an application

If you are an organisation which is able to deliver a project yourself, or in collaboration with other local partners then we can accept applications for this fund to be used to commission your organisation to undertake your project.

Our Board accept requests in two stages. These are designed to help ensure your project is suitable for the fund before you commit time and effort on applying and also so that the Board can help you shape the project in its early stages to maximise its potential and link to other aligned activity which may bring benefits.

These stages are:

  1. Complete our expression of interest (EOI) form which can be emailed to you on request. This is designed as a starting point and we do not expect this to be fully rounded. Please email community@norwich.gov.uk to get the forms.

We will invite you to attend the next available meeting where your EOI is considered so the panel can confirm if the idea is suitable for the fund and offer any advice in completing the full application to maximise your chance of success. We will provide you a framework for this discussion ahead of time so you know what questions might be asked. Please note, we cannot accept applicants for funding who have not completed this stage.

  2. If successful at the EOI stage, you will be then be asked to complete a full application form for your project to be fully assessed. We will provide a template for a budget, including expected maintenance costs or income, and a template for a theory of change for your project which need to be submitted together along with an Equality Impact statement and your application form. These will be provided after a successful EOI meeting.

You will need an internal Norwich City Council officer to sponsor your application as they will be responsible for working with you on project updates to the board. If you don’t have a relationship you can draw on, we will support you to find an appropriate officer to help.
