Pension Credit

Pension Credit is a government benefit designed to help low-income pensioners top up their weekly income to a guaranteed minimum level. Many eligible residents in Norwich may not be aware they qualify for this important support, potentially missing out on hundreds or even thousands of pounds annually.

Pension Credit gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you’re over State Pension age and on a low income.

It could top up weekly income to £201.05 for single pensioners and £306.85 for couples.

If you get Pension Credit you can also get other help, such as:

You might get extra help if you’re a carer, severely disabled, or responsible for a child or young person.

Pension Credit is separate from your State Pension.

You can get Pension Credit even if you have other income, savings or own your own home.
