Featuring the tallest slide tower in Norwich's open spaces, the new play area at Wensum Park is now open for children to enjoy.
The play area, which has been upgraded with a brand new set of equipment, has been invested in by Norwich City Council, which owns and runs the park.
Standing at just under six metres tall, the slide tower has been installed alongside a rope swing, multi-unit climbing frame and spinning seats.
Councillor Adam Giles, portfolio holder for parks and open spaces at Norwich City Council, said: “We’re really pleased to re-open this play area with great new equipment for children to enjoy.
“I know there has been lots of interest in the work from regular visitors to the play area, who couldn’t wait to try it out for themselves, and we hope to see many families benefiting from this upgrade.”
The new equipment, which the city council has invested just over £100,000 in, has been paid for using funds from development in Norwich – to improve facilities in the local community.
