At a meeting of the licensing sub-committee on Wednesday 13 January, there was a review of the premises licence for Three Diamonds in Upper St Giles Street.
Following evidence provided at the hearing, committee members agreed to revoke the licence.
A spokesperson for Norwich City Council said: “We have worked closely with businesses across the city throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, educating and advising them on government guidance.
“We’d like to thank the vast majority of those businesses that have worked hard to put in place all the correct measures in what has been a difficult year for trading.
“However, in the case of Three Diamonds, officers felt there was compelling evidence that this guidance was not being followed and on this occasion risks were posed to the public during a pandemic. This led to the license being revoked.
“Where there are breaches of the guidance, Norwich City Council will take action in order to keep people safe.”
