Lord Mayor's Weekend road closures Saturday 13 July

To ensure public safety, there will be a number of road closures and parking suspensions in the city centre on Saturday 13 July 2024.

9am to 11pm

  • Rampant Horse Street
  • Theatre Street
  • Gentlemans Walk
  • William Booth Street 
  • Haymarket. 

11am to 11pm

  • Chapel Field East
  • Chapel Field North 
  • Ninhams Court 
  • Chantry Road 
  • Coburg Street
  • Malthouse Road (residents only will be allowed access between 5:30pm and 7pm. Strictly no vehicle movements at other times).

12 noon to 6pm

  • Gaol Hill
  • Guildhall
  • Exchange Street
  • London Street
  • Little London Street
  • Lobster Lane
  • Bedford Street
  • Castle Street
  • Back of the Inns
  • Davey Place
  • White Lion Street.

2pm to 6pm

  • Bank Plain
  • Bank Street
  • Orford Street
  • Princes Street
  • St Andrews Street
  • St Georges Street (from the junction with St Andrews Street to the river crossing bridge)
  • Queens Street
  • Tombland
  • Upper King Street
  • Princess Street
  • Redwell Street
  • St Andrews Hill
  • Opie Street.

Please note:

All temporary, loading, parking, pay and display and disabled parking bays on all closed streets will also be suspended.

The nearest available on-street disabled parking spaces are situated at:

  • All Saints Green
  • Ber Street
  • Bethel Street
  • King Street
  • Rouen Road
  • St Benedicts Street
  • Surry Street.

Disabled parking spaces also available in the following car parks:

  • St Giles multi-storey car park
  • St Andrews multi-storey car park
  • Rose Lane multi-storey car park
  • Chantry Place
  • Castle Quarter 1 and 2.
