Norwich City Council was the data controller for parking permit applications recieved until 01 November 2023; since the date data controller has been Norfolk County Council and Norwich is no longer involved new applications.

What will we do with your data?
We use it to process and validate parking permit applications.
We intend to keep your data for as long as you remain a permit user, plus three years, as stated in our Retention Schedule available on our website.
What are your rights?
You have the right to request access to your personal information to:
- ask for errors to be corrected
- restrict how your information is used
- object to how it is processed
- request that your data is deleted.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.
What are the consequences of you not providing data?
We would not be able to complete your application or provide you with this service.
How will we share your data?
Information provided for parking permit applications is shared with the Customer Contact Team and Norwich City Council Parking Services in order that they may fulfil your application for parking and to carry out their statutory duties.
We will share your information with the highways authority and their contractors in order that they may carry out statutory works to the highway. We also share your data with the Cabinet Office as part of the National Fraud Initiative.
Apart from where previously stated, we do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully able to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
