The council is always open to new ideas championed by the community.
There are multiple pathways into making a suggestion:
- Reviewing comments from the public on our Get Talking Norwich platform. If you are commenting on ideas and there is enough consensus about the idea, then we will look into the potential of getting a project based around this. This site is the best way to feed into our investment strategies so please do sign up and make comments on themes which interest you.
- We also take on insight from local voluntary and statutory partners on what they are hearing as the priorities from those they work with, as well as suggestions from officers based on conversations with residents they work alongside.
- We review the local conversations gathered from our city’s Community Connectors (hosted by our partners at the Shoebox Community Hub) who work in several of our neighbourhoods gathering local thoughts and priorities. We also have our own community enabling and community conversation officers who take on board local ideas and feed them into the system - so please do chat with them if you meet them.
If none of the above works for you then please email community@norwich.gov.uk
We need to ensure that ideas are both suitable to the fund but also widely agreed on by local communities, so we really value ideas where there is significant existing local support.
