How to recycle cooking oil

Norwich City Council's food waste collection: Cooled cooking oil, lard and other fats can be recycled using your food waste caddy. Large quantities of cooking oil needs to be presented in a plastic bottle by the side of the food caddy.

Bring banks: cooking oil can be recycled at Norwich North Recycling Centre. Please note, the oil recycling banks in some Norwich shopping areas are no longer in use. 

What kind of oil can be recycled?

  • Vegetable oil
  • Cooking oil
  • Lard
  • Roasting fats
  • Margarine
  • Butters

You cannot recycle

  • Any kind of engine oil.
