Closed consultation: Bluebell Road proposed cycle improvements

Consultation closed Monday 20 February 2017

The scheme proposals are to improve the Bluebell Road area for cyclists by:

  • widening the southern section of the existing shared footpath/cycle path on Bluebell Road Between South Park Avenue and Eaton Street
  • installing a zebra crossing with cycle crossing facilities on a raised table on Bluebell Road north of the slip road to Newmarket Road.
  • widening the footpath on the north side of the slip road and converting it to a shared footpath/cycle path.

This in effect will join the existing footpath/cycle path on Bluebell Road to the existing footpath/cycle path on the west side of Newmarket Road. These proposals are intended to improve road safety for all users in this area and to provide better facilities for cyclists and pedestrians.

A notice of this proposal was advertised in the Norwich Evening News on Friday 20 January 2017.
