Opportunity to join the Independent Remuneration Panel
Norwich City Council is looking for local residents to join an Independent Remuneration Panel (IRP), which makes recommendations to the council on the type and level of allowances paid to city councillors. The deadline for applications is Friday 31 January.

Political make-up
The city council has a total of 39 councillors – 13 electoral wards across the city with three councillors in each.
The current political make-up is:
- Labour 19 seats
- Green Party 15 seats
- Liberal Democrats 3 seats
- Independent Norwich Group 2 seats
Labour is the largest party, but has no overall control.
