Background
An application was submitted to the council by Norwich Over the Wensum neighbourhood group for it be formally designated as a neighbourhood forum.
Section 61F of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended by Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Localism Act 2011) provides a local planning authority with the power to designate an organisation or body as a neighbourhood forum for a designated neighbourhood area.
Designation decision notice
Norwich City Council, as the local planning authority, at a meeting of Cabinet on 6 April 2022, approved the designation of the Norwich Over the Wensum Neighbourhood Forum.
The designation will cease to have effect after five years from the date of approval.
The forum is authorised to act in relation to the designated neighbourhood area.
Norwich Over the Wensum Neighbourhood Plan in preparation
Norwich Over the Wensum Neighbourhood Area was designated for the purposes of preparing a neighbourhood plan on 6 April 2022.
The Norwich Over the Wensum Neighbourhood Forum is in the process of preparing a draft neighbourhood plan for this area. The key stages of the Neighbourhood Plan are summarised in the table below and will be updated as the plan progresses. Key documents can also be viewed below.
