Our council offices and phone lines will close at 4pm on Wednesday 24 December and reopen at 9am on Monday 5 January 2026.

Accessible voting
Everyone should be able to vote independently and confidently. Norwich City Council offers several services and tools to make voting accessible for people with disabilities or additional needs.
Polling station accessibility
- step-free access at all polling stations
- wheelchair-friendly booths available
- trained staff ready to assist.
Helpful equipment available
- large print ballot papers
- magnifying glasses
- tactile voting devices (for blind or partially sighted voters)
- McGonagle reader (on request – helps mark ballots in private)
- low-level booths
- pencil grips
Assistance options
- You can bring a companion (close relative or registered voter) to help you vote.
- Polling station staff are trained to assist respectfully and confidentially.
