European Parliament elections took place in the UK on Thursday 23 May.

Norwich is part of the Eastern Region in the UK with seven MEPs representing East Anglia.

The verification of ballot papers for the European Parliamentary election count in Norwich was completed on Thursday 23 May, after the polling stations closed. The Norwich figures after verification were as follows:

  • the total electorate was 95,128
  • there were 36,920 votes cast
  • that turnout was 38.81%

Information for EU Citizens

If you are an EU citizen, other than UK, Irish, Cypriot or Maltese, and registered to vote for local elections, you will need to complete and return a parliamentary registration form if you wish to vote in the European Parliamentary Elections in the UK.

We will be sending a form by post to those EU citizens registered in Norwich from 17 April 2019. Alternatively, you can download and print the UC1 EU parliamentary registration form and return it to the address below.

The deadline for your completed form to be received by us is Tuesday 7 May 2019.

You do not need to complete this form to vote in the local election on 2 May 2019.
