What happens next?

We will not be able to process your application until you have provided all the supporting documents we have asked for.

We use a banding system to prioritise our offers of housing to those with the greatest need first. The bands are emergency, gold, silver, bronze and standard. Banding will be based on the information you provide.

If your application is successful, you will receive a letter from us telling you:

  • your Home Options application number
  • the band your application has been placed in and your effective date
  • the property size you are eligible to bid for

View and bid for properties

You will only be able to view and bid for properties when you are registered on the Home Options scheme.

To bid for properties you will need to log in or sign up to My Account and look for Housing Online. When you sign up for Housing Online for the first time, you will need your application number which you can find on your banding letter.
