In order for you to be able to support or object to an application for a premises licence, your representation must be ‘relevant’ (ie it relates to the likely effect of the grant of the licence on the promotion of at least one of the licensing objectives) and is not frivolous or vexatious.
Comments of support or objection must relate to the four licensing objectives, which are:
- to prevent crime and disorder
- public safety
- to prevent public nuisance
- to protect children from harm
