Garages and lockable parking bays are available for rent across the city for parking motorised vehicles or storage.
You don’t have to live in Norwich to apply, although we do give priority to those who do, especially Blue Badge holders.
Locations
New garages and parking bays are advertised every two weeks.
How to apply
To register your interest, please provide:
- For parking: a UK or European driving licence and proof of vehicle ownership/lease
- For storage: two forms of ID.
Charges
Rent charges are calculated weekly and must be paid monthy by Direct Debit.
Garages:
- Norwich City Council tenants - £11.37 per week
- Norwich residents (paying Council Tax to Norwich City Council) - £17.74 per week
- Non-city residents.- £31.78 week
Parking posts:
- Norwich City Council tenants - £5.91 per week
- Norwich residents (paying Council Tax to Norwich City Council) - £14.18 per week
- Non-city residents. - £17.77 per week
Important information
- Council tenants can rent up to two garages at a reduced rate (additional garages are charged at the resident rate).
- Council tenants must have clear rent accounts to qualify for a tenancy.
- Parking in front of garages is not allowed and may result in fines.

How to end your tenancy
You must:
- give one week’s written notice -- garage rentals end on a Sunday.
- return the keys to City Hall
- empty the garage and leave it in a good condition, otherwise you will be charged for any clearance costs.
