Using this website

This accessibility statement applies to the Resident Portal website (Your bins) at https://bnr-wrp.whitespacews.com/#!

This website is provided by Norwich City Council. It is built and maintained by a third party supplier on our behalf.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts;
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen;
  • navigate the website using just a keyboard;
  • navigate the website using speech recognition software; and
  • listen to the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver).

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We aim to meet the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at AA level. We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible, as follows:

  • When using a screen reader with the Chrome browser, the keyboard navigation of drop-down list selectors is impaired by the narration tool.
  • The purpose of the missed bin comment and tick box fields are not declared to screen readers with Chrome browser.
