While those seeking asylum have no choice in where in the UK they are dispersed to, we are proud of our reputation as a welcoming city with a long history or being a place of sanctuary.
Norwich City Council is working towards becoming a Council of Sanctuary; part of a national network building a culture of welcome for those seeking sanctuary, many of whom have lost their homes and fled persecution.
