Pledge Norwich has been set up by Norwich City Council to give charities, CICs (community interest – not for profit – companies), resident groups, co-operatives and organisations the opportunity to apply for funding for their community project.
The money that is in the Pledge Norwich fund comes from the community element of the community infrastructure levy, which is money developers are charged to contribute towards the local area.
Eligible projects will be awarded funding of up to 50 per cent of the total project cost, to a maximum of £5,000.

Pledged £1,140 to Bluebell Model Allotment Association for their project to purchase a shipping container to be used as storage for machinery which allotment holders can hire and free-up space in the trading hut to offer more items and give advice to members.

Pledged £5,000 to Norwich Central Baptist Church towards the establishing of a community café in the Mousehold Hub on Mousehold Avenue.
Pledged £4,900 to the Henderson Trust towards their project to expand their Not About the Bike workshop and allow them to work with more young people.
