The council has discretion to grant relief on properties occupied by registered charities and certain non-profit making bodies.
Charity and registered community amateur sports club relief
Charities and registered community amateur sports clubs are entitled to 80% relief where the property is occupied by the charity or club and is wholly or mainly used for charitable purposes, or as a registered community amateur sports club.
We have discretion to give further relief on the remaining balance of the bill.
Non-profit making organisation relief
We have discretion to give relief of up to 100% of the rates on properties occupied by non-profit making organisations.
