You can apply for an ASB (anti-social behaviour) Case Review if you have complained to the Police, the council, or your housing provider:
- three or more times,
- about separate incidents of ASB in the past 6 months,
- within one month of each incident happening.
If you need help to apply, contact us and we can help you to complete the form.
What happens when you apply for an ASB Case Review
There are a couple of important steps that will happen once you apply for an ASB Case Review:
- Your application will be sent to the Operational Partnership Team within 5 days. This team is made up of officers and civilians from the Police and officers from the council.
- The Operational Partnership Team will review your application and nominate a single point of contact who will oversee your case. They will contact you within 7 working days of receiving the application and explain the next steps.
Reporting further ASB incidents
While you await the ASB Case Review, you can report further incidents of anti-social behaviour to your housing provider, the council or the Police. If it is an emergency, always dial 999.
Independent advice and help on antisocial behaviour are available from ASB Help. ASB Help is a registered charity in England and Wales which has been set up to provide advice and support to victims of anti-social behaviour.
Always use the complaints process
The ASB Case Review does not replace making a complaint to an organisation, the Local Government Ombudsman, or Independent Police Complaints Commission. If you are not satisfied with an organisation’s conduct, use their complaints process to try and resolve the issue.
